MANILA, Philippines — Far Eastern University coach Sean Chambers couldn’t be more proud of his team for battling until the end in a loss to University of Santo Tomas in the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament. Chambers revealed that two of his key cogs in ace guard Jorick Bautista and big man Mo Konateh soldiered on despite falling ill potentially due to food poisoning on the eve of their game against the Growling Tigers. We want to be a team that’s resilient. We’re going to fight no matter what, no excuses. Although that sounds like an excuse,” Chambers told reporters after the 79-70 defeat Sunday night at Mall of Asia Arena.
